Versar, Inc. announced today that it has become a member of the U.S. Green Building Council , www.usgbc.org, the leader in green building and development. USGBC’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) provides the design and performance standards for implementing energy conservation, global climate change, and occupant health.
Versar has also established its Energy and Climate unit in Germantown, Maryland to focus on the expansion of its existing energy and climate practice. This new facility will also give Versar the ability to expand its focus on energy, sustainability and related programs. The company currently supports energy and climate programs for the New York State Energy Research and Development Administration (NYSERDA), the Department of Defense and private sector clients.
