Located in San Juan Island, Washington, USA, this Pierre house (the French for stone) was designed by Olson Kundig Architects (Project Team: Tom Kundig, FAIA, Project Architect: Jon Gentry, Project Manager: Chris Gerrick). Just like the name Pierre (stone), this house is situated in the middle of rock and construct of rough materials, encompassing stone, green roof and surrounding foliage. The 2,500 sqf house has functions on one main level, with an open plan kitchen, dining and living space. A large pivoting steel and glass door opens for access to an outdoor terrace. Not only the exterior, the interior and furniture also using the rock material which craved and design to be outstanding furniture to complete the house design. over all this Pierre house was almost disappears into nature. via
