Stirling Sotheby’s International Realty Targets Canadian Investors for Auction of Florida Resort Properties

Florida has always been a place where people can find a bargain on a vacation – now the sunshine state is offering Canadian investors deep discounts on vacation homes.

Stirling Sotheby’s International Realty will host an auction of select Ginn Resort properties on Nov. 8 featuring nearly 20 homes, condominiums and vacation properties from renowned Ginn Resort communities in Central Florida, including Reunion, Bella Collina and Hammock Beach.

Several of the properties – including vacation homes on Florida’s Atlantic East Coast near Walt Disney World – will be sold as absolute auction properties. Many homes on the auction block are custom builder-owned, bank-owned, or bank-authorized auction properties.

The properties, which range from the high C$300’s to more than C$5 million in value, are expected to be sold at deep discounts.

* A C$826,000 home in Reunion has a suggested opening bid of C$251,000.
* A 4 bedroom, 4.5 bath home on the Arnold Palmer golf course at Reunion was previously listed at C$1 million, and has a suggested opening bid of just over C$500,000.
* A condominium at Reunion’s Heritage Crossing golf community was previously listed at C$734,000, and now has a suggested opening bid of C$316,000.
* A lakefront estate at Bella Collina, featuring 5 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and all the luxury amenities, was previously listed at C$5.1 million, but now has a suggested opening bid of C$1.8 million.
