An interior view of Armstrong’s newly Platinum-certified LEED-Existing Building corporate headquarters in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The building, originally designed and built by Gensler in 1998, looks out onto the rolling countryside, which is impossible to miss since there are gorgeous views from nearly every corridor, office, and stairwell in the structure.

CarbonCast Insulated Wall Panels

Altus Group’s CarbonCast insulated wall panels use epoxy-coated carbon-fiber trusses that allow thinner concrete skins, reducing cement use and increasing the amount of insulation that can be accommodated in a given wall thickness.

Armstrong Migrations BioBased Tile

The Migrations line of bio-based composition tile from Armstrong was introduced at the 2007 Greenbuild Conference in Chicago for the 2008 market year. It’s made with BioStride, a corn-based polyester binder, instead of PVC.
