The flame-resistant, polyurethane-coated polyester is available in five degrees of openness, from blackout to 25 percent, with optional metallic finishes for reduced solar gain. Custom colors and openness factors can be specified. The prestressed core boosts dimensional stability, reducing stretching and wear to the point that a 10-year warranty is provided. Their automated Matrix Controller, utilizing sun-angle incidence software, can raise and lower the shades in different areas of a building to help control glare and heat gain as the sun moves across the sky.
