Sitting in a narrow space in a small, almost square level plot, this Residence in Kifisia, a suburb of Athens, Greece was designed to be a shelter for a small family consist of four. This modern house residence is designed by N. Koukourakis & Associates, consulting architect that work on large scale of private residence, office building, retail complexes and apartment. They also work on some interiors of numerous restaurants, cafes, shops, clubs, offices and so on.
The aim of N. Koukourakis & Associates is to maximize the marrow and small plot of this house. The concept focused on establishing additional open air spaces so as to create a pleasant habitat in those small plot. Thus, the stone mass in the entry of the plot separates the common use areas from the more secluded spaces thus creating the essential privacy. The result is three story house residence that in the ground floor consist of foyer, sitting room, rest room, dining room, kitchen. On the first floor there is a living room, office and the children’s bedrooms with balconies. On the second floor is the Master Bedroom. The basement comprises of additional secondary ‘functional rooms’ as well as the guest room.
