Peab Industri Acquires Foundations Company in Norway

Peab Industri has entered into an agreement to acquire all shares in NSP, Nordfjeldske Spunt og Peleservice AS, in Norway. NSP operates on the foundations market and has its headquarters in Trondheim. In 2007 the company had sales of NOK 125 million. NSP employs a staff of over 40.

Peab Industri already operates on the foundations market in Sweden and in Norway.

The acquisition is subject to an approval from the Norwegian Competition Authority (Konkurransetilsynet).

“With the acquisition of NSP we strengthen our position and broaden our range within foundation services both in Sweden and in Norway. We see good synergies within technical development, exchange of expertise and within the purchasing area”, says Mats O Paulsson, CEO of Peab Industri AB.

Peab Industri is a leading producer of products and provider of services for the Nordic construction and civil engineering market. The net sales exceed SEK 7 billion and the number of employees is approximately 2 400. Business is conducted in Sweden, Norway and Finland. The share is listed on the OMX Nordic Exchange Stockholm.
