ND MillWerk Salvage and Sales: A Rare Resource for Authentic, Affordable Turn-of-the-Century Woodwork

Saturday, August 23rd 2008

While many turn-of-the-century farmhouses and schoolhouses have disappeared from the Iowa landscape in recent years, much of the beautiful interior woodwork, flooring, hardware and lighting has been carefully salvaged and stored for reuse, thanks to the efforts of Nelda and Denny Werkmeister, owners of Paullina, Iowa-based ND MillWerk Salvage & Sales. Today, anyone building a new home or office or restoring an existing building can view and order everything from a Mission Style Staircase for $600 to a Victorian Cast Iron Wall Register for $40 at www.oldwoodwork.com.

10,000 authentic, affordable, one-of-a-kind products in stock

Driven by a passion for recycling and an appreciation for vintage woodwork, the Werkmeisters are continually adding new items to their warehouse. They currently have about 10,000 authentic, affordable, one-of-a-kind products in stock. Replicas of the historic architectural elements are often more expensive than the finely crafted originals and many products can’t be found anywhere else, making ND MillWerk a rare and valuable builder resource.

Customers are welcome to call 712-949-9375 or 712-348-4137 with questions or to schedule a warehouse visit.
