National Mall Design Competition Selects the Three Winning Teams

The National Mall in Washington, D.C. is the country’s most visited park and attracts more than 25 million visitors annually. To gain more guests and visitor, This National mall is going to be redesigned for its three prominent locations including The Union Square, Sylvan Theater on the Washington Monument Grounds, and Constitution Gardens. And finally Three teams from the twelve final design concepts win the tender to build the brand new National Mall Design in Washington, D.C.

The competition winners are:
1. Union Square: Gustafson Guthrie Nichol + Davis Brody Bond
2. Sylvan Theater on the Washington Monument Grounds: OLIN + Weiss/Manfredi
3. Constitution Gardens: Rogers Marvel Architects + Peter Walker and Partners.

The Twelve finalists, chosen by a jury of design experts based on their design portfolios, team qualifications and Stage II interviews, are:

Constitution Gardens:
