Mint Projects in Miami
Moss & Associates, the Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based construction management company, has received the Florida Sunshine State Safety Recognition Award for its workplace safety programs at the $237 million Ivy (pictured here) and Mint residential/mixed-use development projects.

The towers share the same site along the Miami River in downtown Miami.“Keeping a complex jobsite safe takes education and daily focus from every employee and subcontractor on the project,” said Joe Harris, executive vice president with Moss & Associates, which is building the adjacent riverfront towers for Key International Development.“We’re proud of the construction team’s efforts in earning this recognition.”The University of South Florida’s Safety Consultation Program presents this award to proactive companies that demonstrate effective safety and health management systems in the field, as well as on paper, and continuously strive to improve their efforts. In 2006, a Moss/Anderson joint venture was honored with the first USF Sunshine State Safety Award.

The federal Occupational Health and Safety Administration has twice recognized Moss’ commitment to workplace safety through its Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program.
