Mark Lewis Named CFO of MWVs Community Development and Land Management Group

MeadWestvaco Corp. announced Mark Lewis has joined the MWV Community Development and Land Management Group as the new chief financial officer, effective November 10. In this role, Mr. Lewis will focus on enhanced strategic planning, as well as overseeing financial analysis, reporting, and operations and information systems support.

“The Community Development and Land Management group is growing a sustainable real estate business and providing sustainable cash flow and earnings to support growth in the packaging platform,” said Ken Seeger, president, Community Development and Land Management Group. “Mark’s real estate finance knowledge and leadership will add strength to our team of talented leaders.”

Mr. Lewis joins MWV with nearly thirty years of experience in a variety of real estate market sectors, including land acquisition and development, residential, commercial, office, retail, and hospitality. His past work includes serving as Chief Financial Officer with the Paramount Group in New York where he negotiated and closed approximately $3 billion in financings. He began his career with Arthur Andersen as an Audit Manager in the real estate and banking industries and most recently served as Chief Operating Officer for Cortland Partners in Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia at Athens and is a member of the Urban Land Institute.
