LOOS steam boilers for Dubai’s mega-projects

No other country in the world has seen the creation of so many stupendous structures in recent years as Dubai. Oil deposits have formed the basis for this building boom and have made possible the huge investments in infrastructure over the last few decades.

The sheiks love superlatives. At the moment, Dubai is building the largest airport, the largest leisure park and the largest man-made islands. The property company “Emaar Properties PJSC” is the developer behind the mega-project “Downtown Dubai”, a part of the city that is currently under construction, the centre of which will be the world’s tallest building – the skyscraper known as the “Burj Dubai”. Other parts of the project are the “Dubai Mall” shopping centre, a newly built, Arab-style “Old City” and the “Burj Dubai Lake Hotel” (306 m high).
