The Kohler company’s dual-flush, elongated-bowl Escale has a two-button actuator—for either a 1.6-gallon or a 0.8-gallon gravity-flush—on the slim tank lid of the European-contemporary toilet. Even the seat is genteel, with a non-slamming Quiet-Close feature.
