Kim Lighting Launches “Cool” Lightvault(R) CFL

Kim Lighting, a leading manufacturer of outdoor architectural lighting, announced today the company is offering a new low heat lens solution for the Lightvault family of premium in-grade uplights.

Utilizing low heat compact fluorescent technology, the temperature of the Lightvault lens can be reduced to as low as 50°C, making it suitable for walk-over locations and high traffic pedestrian areas. Comparable metal halide versions can have temperatures upwards of 90°C.

Key features of the Lightvault CFL system:

– Available in 26W, 32W or 42W versions.
– Provides powerful and dramatic effects for uplighting trees, monuments, flag poles and other architectural and landscape accent applications.
– 11″ diameter available in 42W Accent Uplight, 32W Wall Washer, 32W Eyelid Wall Washer, 26W Eyelid Wall Washer and 42W Drive-over Directional.
– 9″ diameter available in 32W Accent Uplight, 26W Accent Uplight, 32W Eyelid Wall Washer and 26W Eyelid Wall Washer.
– Bronze or composite housing.
– Designed to withstand the most abusive environments of all lighting systems, having to continually resist moisture, fertilizers, flooding, debris, vandalism and solar UV rays.
– Lens gasket made from one-piece molded silicone with U-channel, wraps completely around lens flange.
– Anti-siphon barrier on wiring to and from splice compartment.
– Reverse draft housing to prevent uplifting.
– Cast bronze and stainless steel lens rings to provide maximum protection and blend with foliage and paving materials.
