A pre-engineered Matière concrete bridge structure from ABM enabled this R&D facility for ING Renault F1 to be built in super quick time. A full height glass curtain wall gives a panoramic view of a wild life area, creating a stunning backdrop for the office area. A full size Renault F1 Team car is displayed in the exhibition area which uses the arching ceiling to best effect for display. In the centre of the ING Renault F1 team's new Computational Aerodynamics Research Centre is the auditorium. At one end of the building a wall is enclosed to create an area for the server farm - the computing power behind a modern formula one car. As a buried structure, the visual impact of the Computational Aerodynamics Research Centre is minimal. Planting will soften the appearance.
