GCS Modular Radiant Flooring Panels are 1.25-inch-thick, screw-down planks made with a lightweight concrete cast into postconsumer-recycled, high-impact polystyrene trays. PEX hydronic tubing fits into integral channels on the underside. One-third of the cement content is replaced with ground windshield glass and flyash.
The panels, which weigh less than 8 pounds per square foot, respond more quickly to occupant thermostat adjustments than radiant-floor-heat delivery systems with higher mass. They avoid the moisture-loading and jobsite water release of poured-in-place radiant floors, install without adhesives, are reusable, and provide reduced sound transmission.
