Furniture line by Frank O. Gehry - 1

One of the more spectacular 70s chairs is Frank O. Gehry’s cardboard chair, Wiggle Side Chair, which is made out of 60 layers of closely compressed corrugated cardboard. The chair was actually an experiment, but at its unveiling in 1972 interest was so overwhelming that Gehry re-called the chair shortly afterwards for fear of becoming better known as a furniture designer than as an architect when architecture was his real passion. Luckily, the chair has since been re-released and it has not hurt Gehry in the slightest. On the contrary, he was commissioned to design the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao, Spain.
