(NYSE: EME), a Fortune 500® leader in mechanical and electrical construction, energy infrastructure and facilities services for a diverse range of businesses, announced that its EMCOR Services Northeast subsidiary has received a contract for the installation of mechanical systems at EMC Corporation; located in Hopkinton, MA, EMC is a world leader in developing and providing information infrastructure technology and solutions to organizations.
EMCOR Services Northeast will be responsible for the mechanical systems installations involved in EMC’s data center expansion project, which will require the increase of cooling density from 60 to 100 watts per square foot. The project includes the installation of over 4000 linear feet of pipe while avoiding any shutdowns of the existing system. Equipment installations consists of, but are not limited to, a 500-ton centrifugal chiller and APC in-row high density cooling units.
