Just like the name of the house, this cliff house is perched on the cliff on the back side and on the front side is facing the water’s edge in Gig Harbor, Washington. This cliff house is designed by Architect Scott Allen, the Seattle and Bainbridge Island based architecture, interior architecture, planning and design practice which is known for crafting innovative designs that take the “chill” out of contemporary architecture and ensures modern house designs and civic spaces in which people love to live, play and work.
Sitting on the unique site, the challenge is to designed a contemporary modern boathouse in this site and maximize all the shortage and turned it into a maximal house with its advantages. What makes this house seems so special is it has two entrances on the front from the river and from the rooftop with a glass-enclosed elevator providing access to the two levels below. on the roof top also available Stairs that lead down to the water and are incorporated into a series of decks, terraces, and bridges that create spaces for living and entertaining. Overall, this Cliff House by Scott Allen Architecture is so gorgeous.
