Located at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains, in the city of Rancho Cucamonga, California, this 27,600 Square Foot, two-story student services and administration building aims to support the college’s recent increased growth, and to use this flagship facility as a mechanism for promoting campus orientation, communication, and to establish a new open and meaningful relationship between administration and the student life within the campus.
The building is the first building of “contact” as one enters the campus, it runs parallel to the main street and defines the edge and enclosure of the campus and its main activity quad, the two long elevations respond to the diverse conditions related to the idea of the exterior outside world and that of the interior learning environment.
The buildings plan and main circulation runs along the campus main outdoor quad, within this two story volume free passage and flow enable an clear, informal and accessible movement within the building.
