AT&T Unwraps New Store Design in Warwick

AT&T Inc.is providing customers in Rhode Island a new way to experience and shop for wireless communications and entertainment services at its new cutting-edge store in Warwick. This store, located in the Warwick Mall is the only one of its kind in Rhode Island.

“We are thrilled to have our new store ready for the holidays,” said Steve Krom, vice president and general manager of AT&T in New England. “Our customers crave new technology, and there is no cooler showcase location for all of our communications and entertainment products and services in the Ocean State.”

Joshua Mailloux, a lifelong Warwick resident and wireless industry veteran, oversees all of AT&T’s retail operations in Rhode Island as area retail sales manager. “I’m very proud to have AT&T’s first Rhode Island showcase store open in my hometown. The new Warwick location serves as a model for all new stores moving forward and underscores AT&T’s commitment to innovation,” Mailloux stated.

Unique Features of the Warwick store include:

– Entertainment and Style. Customers will be able to experience all of AT&T’s music offerings from Napster®, iTunes, eMusic, MusicID, Pandora and XM Satellite Radio on wireless phones, Bluetooth® headphones and Bluetooth external speakers. Customers can also transfer songs by using a laptop or mobile phone. AT&T experts also will show gamers how to download games to wireless phones and laptops at this station. And, of course, customers can try out the Apple iPhone 3G.

– Productivity Solutions. Geared toward road warriors, on-the-go customers and small business owners, this front-of-store station will include wireless phones, PDAs, smartphones and GPS and Bluetooth accessories. Customers can learn how to use e-mail and Microsoft Corp. applications on these devices, and they can get the hang of multimedia messaging and photo- and video-sharing capabilities.

– Talk, Text and Browse. Customers can browse the latest, coolest GoPhone and Push to Talk devices offered from AT&T, learn about AT&T’s extensive wireless service offerings and brush up on the latest text- and video- messaging.

Other in-store features include several live iPhone demo units and flat-panel HD video screens on which visitors can experience a variety of AT&T products and services such as new Quick Messaging devices like the Samsung Propel and the Pantech Matrix. A series of Guided Selling Kiosks also provide valuable information to help customers select the right rate plan and wireless device to fit their needs.
