Bauart Architects, an architectural firm that stands out in Switzerland by the initiation, development, support and implementation of creative ideas, innovative and ambitious. the aim of their design project is achievement of durable solutions, which contribute significantly to the qualitative transformation of the built environment. Their project including architectural building, residential, interior and planning, and here and now they present one of their latest design project designing the A+P House located in Meilen, Switzerland.
Since the client is the book lover and has so many book collection, the house design aimed to accommodate all those book collection, and the result is a modern house with an open access library with galleries in Each room including the living room, the bathroom, the study or the kitchen. Six levels of this house from basement to roof terrace connect by a staircase and they becomes a ‘reading room‘. To further emphasize the importance of books, the ceiling above the ‘book tower‘ has been covered with a layer of gold, as an homage to historical paintings. In the end, the staircase turned into a valuable container for books. via
