AFS-Europe extend its product range with 6 new OTDR’s

With the OTDR products, glass fiber connections are measured, certified and also certificated with a certification report. The OTDR’s measures attenuation, loss from the event and break in fiber and splices. Through this dirt, bad or assembled connections failures will be found. The OTDR’s are perfect tool for the construction, maintenance and restoration of cable plants and are also extremely suitable for educational means. The OTDR’s are extremely accurate and therefore it’s also perfect to use in the laboratory. And of course very compact and rigid to use in the field, available for Multimode and Single mode with ST or FC connector or both. These OTDR’s will be used with a combination of a laptop or a computer and they will be connected to the USB connection. These OTDR’s don’t need an own power supply since they will be powered by connecting the unit to the PC or laptop with a low energy consumption which is lesser than 200 mA.

The OTDR becomes complete with the use of the software on the laptop or PC. All measurements are clearly displayed and certified, stored, read, printed and analyzed. This OTDR’s software is suitable for Bellcore *.sor format.
