
First National Bank is one of the first banks in the country to receive USGBC LEED Certification for it’s environmentally friendly design. Upon initial occupancy, the 3,500 sf facility was the second smallest commercial building in the country to be certified showcasing the benefits of sustainabile design in the small business environemnt.
Environmental Features Include:
• Wood materials certified by the Forest Stewardship Council
• Ceramic tile from recycled glass
• Cellulose insulation, made from recycled newspaper
•Over 75% of construction waste was diverted from the landfill
• Energy usage is reduced by 46% with advanced lighting system, water heater system featuring instant-on hot water & heating and cooling provided by ground source heat pumps
• Water usages is reduced by 46%using faucets with on/off sensors and low-flush toilets
• Indoor Air Quality is improved through the use of operable windows and the eliminiation of VOC’s in paints & adhesives.
